The novel “Agatha” is about a 72-year-old psychiatrist who lives alone and is eagerly awaiting his retirement, to the point that he has become very indifferent to his patients and is counting down the remaining sessions before he ends his career.

His life changes when Agata , a young German woman, insists on becoming one of his patients despite his impending retirement. With each successive session, a complex human relationship begins to form, and the doctor discovers that treating Agata is not just about her; it also forces him to confront his own loneliness, fears, and outlook on life.

The novel explores themes such as loneliness, mental illness, fear, death, human relationships, and the meaning of life , in a calm and contemplative style.
